The human body is a machine, it needs nutrition to make energy, and the energy drives the body to perform all work. The body reacts, it needs rest, but work is endless. So humans always tried to invent new things which make work easier for them. Now, after introducing AI in every field, we are directly trying to replace our work, our presence, with robots.
We are making robots that think like humans and behave like humans, from anticipation to action, it’s called the Humanoids. The humanoid means a robot or a creature resembling a human being. Mechanically he can work as a human but emotionally, he is just a machine. A machine that takes the order and performs.

Famous Humanoids:
Robot Nau: Nau is about 50 cm tall. He walks, talks, dances, pick up objects and entertains the audience.
Robot Thespian: It’s a favourite humanoid, large & funny. Like to communicate with the audience through UI (User Interface). Answers questions, make a funny facial expression.
Aibo: The dog robot wags his tail, barks, plays, & follows various commands; he also enjoys petting.
Robots in manufacturing:
Robots are now actively participating in the manufacturing sector, especially where the repetitive process occurs. Automation in manufacturing units strives for maximum efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
Main Reasons to work with Robots:
Efficiency: Robots work error-free, which increases the efficiency of the manufacturing unit.
No-Holiday: Robots can continuously work without any break, holiday, or any excuses.
Customization: We can program robots as per the work requirement; customization improves performance even on complex functions.
Global Competition: Robots are used everywhere; companies using robots in manufacturing giving global competition in quality, timebound delivery, high production, and cost-effectiveness.
Automation: Automation with robots increase profitability irrespective of their organization size or structure.
Robots in safety & security:
Robots are brave soldiers, policemen, and guards. They are never afraid of anyone, always on duty. Machines don’t get tired. They can work in different climatic conditions. Still, the scientists working on robots advancement and researchers working to make them independent decision-makers according to the real-time situation.
Robot’s participation in the safety and security field is in a primitive stage. The majority of military robots are teleoperated and not equipped with weapons, and their main tasks are reconnaissance, surveillance, sniper detection, neutralizing explosive devices, etc.
Robots in Healthcare:
The presence of robots in the healthcare industry is significant. Humans care humans, machines care humans, but machines’ care is more mechanical, error-free & rest-free. Medical robots support mainly invasive procedures, customized and frequent monitoring for patients with chronic diseases, and social engagement for elderly patients.
Health workers actively working inward are prone to infections, hospital-acquired infections (HAI)- robot’s presence in cleaning and disinfection robots limit pathogen exposure while helping reduce hospital-acquired infections, and hundreds of healthcare facilities are already using them. Social robots also help with heavy liftings, such as moving beds or patients, which reduces physical strain on healthcare workers.
Summary: Robots are programmed & controlled by humans as per the work, i.e. Healthcare, The food industry, Military, Agriculture, Minning, Manufacturing, etc. Robots are transforming every industry where they are performing.
